Escape to the South of France for an intimate Indigo Shibori workshop. Thoughtful instruction, stunning surroundings, and time to create with intention.
In this 5-day retreat for all levels we’ll have 3 vats of varying strengths to use for creating gradients and exploring how to get depth and space in your dye work. We’ll also work on compositions to create original artworks with shibori techniques, AND we will enjoy stitching with the Pyrénées mountains in view.

Other Offerings
I teach 1 day, 2 day, 3 day, and 5 day shibori indigo workshops for adults and teens. Workshops can be tailored for the group ranging from intro to advanced techniques. Topics can include creating different types of indigo vats at different strengths, proper vatting techniques, and various shibori techniques. Shorter workshops will focus on clamping and dyeing while longer workshops can include stitch resist techniques.
I also teach indigo pigment extraction from Japanese indigo plants. However hands on extraction workshops need to be June - August and within driving distance of the central New York Region (if I provide the plants).
